Nation's Calling

In Nation''s Calling, Brigadier BD Mishra details his life as a soldier and a statesman. An Infantry Officer, commissioned in 1961 into the Indian Army, Brigadier Mishra has been a faculty member at the College of Combat, MHOW and the Defence Services Staff College, Wellington. In defence of the nation, he served during the Chinese aggression on India in 1962, fought against the Pakistanis in 1965 and again against Pakistanis in Bangladesh Liberation War in 1971. For many years, he carried out counter-insurgency operations in the most inhospitable terrain in the North-Eastern region of India.
