The Bible doesn't offer its readers clear answers to the problems that humans face. Being obscure, even ambiguous to the common person, the Bible challenges the readers to interpret its material and bring in their own understandings of it. This allows for religious leaders to have the opportunity to reinterpret its obscure messages to apply its the laws to modern times.

There are many biblical tales that are mysterious. They leave the reader with the opportunity to read into them the way they want to see things - or better yet, what they should see things. The Bible should be interpreted. We shouldn't dismiss the
parables within as mere "nice stories". We should constantly be asking questions about what the Bible is trying to tell us.
