My Long Life

Born after the First World War and living in the U.K. through the Second I have seen many changes both in the U.K. and Canada; which I came to love.My life has been of delight and surprises with some melodrama which my husband and I experiences together and which was completely unwarranted! he was a most marvellous and gentle man and my delight for over fifty years and did not deserve what fate had in store for him!We had many good holidays with friends in the West Indies over several years and of the four of them I still have one living in Toronto. Other friends were made in Florida where we had a mobile home for several years but no longer. I miss the times in Sarasota where I attended life sessions in Art. A living model is delightful, one of whom had eighteen different costumes!Now I am in a community of older citizens where we experience a full life for the elderly, complete with theatre, pool, exercise sessions, and numerous entertainment - could one ask for more?
