My Life in the East End

If you want to read an accurate and truthful account of what life was like in London's East End in the 1950s and 1960s, then this book is for you. It is for people from all walks of life who find such things intriguing. This is my personal tale of the first twenty-two years of my life being born and bred in the East End. A life that wasn't at all easy for me growing up with poverty and a lack of basic amenities, besides other aspects of my life. Fun times and humorous in parts. Truths that some people shy away from and won't admit that is what happened back then. Eleven months after I was born, I went on to have a different life to what my parents anticipated. I came through the other side to write this book with confidence. I feel blessed that I have achieved this.
