Ensuring that this feat is accomplished by the end of Third Grade is essential, as research indicates that Third Grade reading ability has long-term impacts on an individual's job prospects, health, and even how well they will fare in old age.

Momentum is an equity-centered guide to empower young readers to learn to read by fostering their passion and helping teachers to partner with colleagues and families to increase reading practice.
