Modelling of Multilayered Piezoelectric Composites

The authors hereafter study the modelling of composite multi-layered piezoelectric plates. Their theory is based on an hybrid approach, where the mechanical and electrical continuity conditions are satisfied, as well as the boundary conditions on the top and bottom surfaces of the structure. The accuracy of the proposed theory is assessed through investigation of significant problems, for which an exact three-dimensional solution is known.
