Middle Ages: Mysterious Ages

It was a confusing and disorganized time - a tug and push game between mighty kings, nobles, barons, knights and the impoverished serfs. The Early and later periods in the Middle Ages yielded knowledgeable philosophers, scholars, leaders and apologists of all persuasions - Justinian, Charlemagne, Saladin, Christianity and Islam was absorbed into the social structure of their adherents. Those were the highlights of this tumultuous period. This era began well with the Byzantine World, but ended badly - with a non-discriminating, impartial infliction called the Black Plague.
