Meraaj-e-Rasool

The Meraaj is one of the most famous events in the life of the Prophet of Islam. According to authentic narrations, this event occurred on the night of 27 Rajab, about a year before the Hijra. It is mentioned in both the Quran and the Hadith. The Quran explains the purpose of the Meraaj and the instructions God gave to His Messenger when He called him. The Hadith explains how the Meraaj took place and what events occurred during the journey.

معراج، پیغمبرِ اسلام کی زندگی کے اُن واقعات میں سے ہے جنہیں دنیا میں سب سے زیادہ شہرت حاصل ہوئی ہے۔ عام روایت کے مطابق یہ واقعہ ہجرت سے تقریباً ایک سال پہلے 27 رجب کی رات کو پیش آیا۔ اس کا ذکر قرآن میں بھی ہے اور حدیث میں بھی۔ قرآن یہ بتاتا ہے کہ معراج کس غرض کے لیے ہوئی تھی اور خدا نے اپنے رسول کو بلا کر کیا ہدایات دی تھیں۔ حدیث یہ بتاتی ہے کہ معراج کس طرح ہوئی اور اس سفر میں کیا واقعات پیش آئے۔
