Melodies and excerpts from Ghalwa

The poet is distinguished from other people by realizing what ordinary people do not realize. He is the person who listens to the music of the universe. Who can sit and watch the moonlight, and the lotus flower bloom in the green meadows... Those moments are inseparable from the poet''s awareness of the root of the human pain and suffering that every living being is doomed to. Starting from here, we find in Elias Abu Shabaka''s poems in this book an anthem that brings together a chorus of voices that express themselves, in an integrated unity between humans and things.
