Thus, our oblivion to see the cause of all these pains feels quite baffling. Our reluctance to acknowledge the depth of relationship dilemmas we have imposed upon ourselves, as well as their personal and so-cial ramifications, is rather shocking. In fact, our ignorance, indifference, or denial shows the depth of our social numbness.
