Strategic management for the establishment of flexible structures in the university as determinants of quality and competitiveness seems a title too complex and sophisticated. This book is an ambitious project to provide universities with a management model that inserts them in competitive environments and makes them a set of people and sectors committed to producing actions of undeniable quality, with consistent levels of productivity. The first presupposes the search for recognition by society of what a university is capable of doing. The second translates the concern with the survival of the university itself as a living organization. And they have a crucial impact on the conceptual and critical characterization of the university itself.
