Madi Goes Shopping

Blue-eyed Madi has a difficult gift. She looks just like all the other kids you see at the shops, but she is different - she has autism. Being in a shopping centre or supermarket full of strangers, noises, colours, and smells presents a whole new set of challenges to Madi. The delightful illustrations and simple rhyming text help us see the shops through Madi's eyes. It makes a great classroom read-aloud.
