Love in Rime

This book of poems began, harmlessly enough, as a chronicle retracing a ten year courtship which led to my first marriage. Over the years it evolved into a series of poems commenting on the various conflicts, challenges, and joys encountered in one man's quest for romantic fulfillment. The content was expanded to include other poems concerning earlier and subsequent relationships which seem to suggest recurring realities and universal concerns. In this regard, the woman personae addressed represents a composite, not of one particular individual, but a combination of three particular women that had a significant impact on my life. The experiences recounted are, in this regard, disparate and singularly unique to those individuals and cannot be attributable to one person.
