This is based on a true live story of a woman who goes in search of her fortune in Africa. She takes the reader through post Independent Zimbabwe and highlights the harsh realities of the economic down turn of the once illustrious country. From the home of the Table Mountains to the fast-paced streets of Johannesburg she highlights her brush with the Black Economic Empowerment dream in South Africa contrasting it with the serenity of the diamond rich Botswana plains. The quest for fortune bring her to the seven hills of Kampala where challenges resultant from policies aimed at redressing colonial injustices presented a number of moral dilemmas.The story told through the use of fictionalised characters highlights the vulnerability of the fabric of African society and the culture of Ubuntu, "I am because you are."About the Author Rumbidzayi Kahari is an australian trained journalistand a communications consultant. a keen traveller, rumbi loves meeting people from different cultural backgrounds stemming from her expereince as a child where she attended nine school during her seven years of primary education.She has worked in Public and private sector institutions in Zimbabwe, South Africa, Uganda and Brazil. She is passionate about gender issues and is a founder of Centre for African Women Advancement (CAWA) an organisation which promotes mentoring of women. Rumbi is a stong advocate for the African guiding principle of Ubuntu.
