Livelihoods and Well-Being in the Era of Climate Change

This volume addresses livelihood vulnerabilities due to climate change-induced socio-environmental stresses among different communities in various geographical locations in India, and discusses how the people and communities can become resilient to these stresses. Through multiple case studies and regional analyses, the authors provide a holistic understanding of the impacts of climate change on livelihoods and well-beings in India, where other works on the subject are often fragmentary and do not encompass a comprehensive presentation of these topics. This dedicated volume offers this comprehensive coverage, exploring how climate change impacts vulnerable communities, and how different actors such as vulnerable people, communities, governments, and NGOs are adopting strategies for resilience and sustainable livelihoods.
