Liberate and Federate

This book is very timely for rediscovering a forgotten tradition, written with the sensitivity of an experienced historian, and deep but also light to read. Mike Tyldesley's "Liberate and Federate" comes at an important time in the revival of studies on Proudhonism and fills an important gap in the literature. While the three figures examined in this book have been neglected, particularly in the English-speaking world, Dr Tyldesley demonstrates the novelty of their ideas as well as the impact of their lives on the anti-totalitarian currents of the twentieth century. Anyone interested in the influence of Proudhon's ideas during the "midnight of the century" should read this book.
