Kon-Tiki: The Pacific Drifter

This is the amazing story of the journey of the Kon-Tiki, a balsa wood raft which sailed and drifted from South America to the Pacific for 101 days and over 4,300 miles (7,000 kilometers).

Thor Heyerdahl believed that the ancient South American people had travelled this route hundreds of years ago, and he set out on this daring adventure to try and prove his theory. A great introduction to the Pacific region and also to design and technology discussions.
