Knowledge Management System for Petroleum Industry

Knowledge management (KM) refers to the acquisition, creation, storage, sharing, as well as usage of knowledge in organizations. Knowledge Management System (KMS), as an IT-based system, supports and enhances KM in organizations towards organizational performance. The study develops a reliable model covering the most influential factors of KMS usage towards organizational performance. The theoretically integrated and measured model could be guidance for several industries for effective KMS usage towards organizational performance. The Model of KMS usage has practical contributions and implications for management and KMS designers in oil and gas industry.
