Knowledge Is Lonely

When Christopher Columbusreturned to Spain afterhis discovery of the NewWorld in 1492 he was welcomed as ahero. The reception given to him byFerdinand and Isabella was everythingthat he could have hoped for, and newsof the new lands to the west spreadquickly throughout Europe. In itsessence, Knowledge is Lonely, is likethat discovery so many years ago. It isan eclectic collage of short stories, andeach one stands on their own. Howeverlike individual instruments in anorchestra, each story compliments theothers. The end result is a symphonyof melt in your mouth music that whentranslated into words peels back theveil of many mysteries and makes themplain. To the reader I will not divulgewhich story does this. I do not wantto deny the pleasure that can be foundin the pursuit of knowledge, but I willassure you that it is here.Lonnie Hammons
