With Parthia now establishing a stronger foothold in Armenia and while the Kingdom is fracturing from the inside, Prince Tigran is forced back to Parthia, only this time as a political hostage. Tackling one tragedy after another, Tigran finds himself facing a very different life, with new challenges, in a foreign land where life is cheap and intrigue and treachery reign.

His friends' lives are forever changed as well, on the run now from the only place they ever called home, even as a new rising threat arrives at the Capital.
