King of Alton Park

On a warm sunny day in Chattanooga, Tennessee, back in 1950, Shang Butler was asked to look into the murder of Zeebdee Morton by his eighteen-year-old daughter. She had a run in with the killer, who made it clear that there was more to the killing than a simple self-defense claim would cover. As things heated up in the investigation, trouble came right down the alley. Is Butler ready for the challenge? You can bet your ass on that one. Then he gets an offer he can't refuse from Maryjo's grandma to get on the case and get to the bottom of it. Meanwhile, things around town start to go up in smoke. A cab ride across town reveals some real strange bedfellows. When that's done, we find him in the middle of a dangerous gun battle where the king of Alton Park just may need a hand.
