Kinetics and Spectroscopy of Low Temperature Plasmas

Deriving the electron kinetic theory to describe low temperature plasmas created in the laboratory with an electrical discharge, this book presents the main optical spectroscopic diagnostics used to characterize such plasmas. These are then presented from the point of view of a) Statistical and Plasma Physics and b) Atomic and Molecular Physics.
