Juan Fearful's First Day at School

Juan Fearful's First Day at School, Juan Fearful and the Bully, and Juan Fearful and His Friend Carlos are stories intended as picture books for young readers' ages five to eight years old. Juan is a school-age child who has fears common to most children (e.g., first day of school, death of a family member, bullies, or losing a friend). How children cope with fear varies with their personalities and their family support system. Like many children, Juan would like to ignore his fears, but he realizes that this will not help him solve his problems.
