Now, the dark forces that the Order kept in check are rising again. On a distant planet, far away, John Thompson sits bored in a church when a young woman is attacked. Something inside him cannot allow that to happen and tells him he must do something against the evil that controls this place. Outnumbered and with no weapons, he knows that any action he takes can only lead to his death. On Earth, a mother is stressed by the kidnapping of her daughter. She seeks help from the one man who warned her that her daughter would someday be in danger. When she arrives at his home he has strange advice. He tells her to read a book.
