Joad's Harvest

They called him Joad, for when he was born there was a wrinkled, brownish look about him, like small wild creatures that are found in the deepest part of the wood, clinging to the roots of giant trees. No matter how tall he grew, or how strong and valiant he proved to be, he was Joad, the toad boy, to those who were closest to him. His life changes as he meets the person called Witch Woman by the people of the valley, and war comes to this superstitous land.
