This triple-stuffed chapbook is a speakeasy-of-sorts in written form. It is a collection of poetry aiming to serve as an exploration of love, often in terms of celebration, and sometimes, even in condemnation of it. From intoxicating mornings to midnight intuitions, from scarlet blush to evening violets, from five great loves among seven Seattle seasons, limerence, love, and lust is distilled and dissimilated to the reader with a heavy pour – as well as a pinch of bitters like heartbreak and loss, leaving just enough room for healing on the back end.
