IUTAM Symposium on Statistical Energy Analysis

This publication presents the proceedings of the IUTAM Symposium on Statistical Energy Analysis, an international symposium specifically devoted to a method of vibration analysis. This method is being increasingly adopted by engineers in industry and consultants concerned with vibration and noise associated with a wide range of engineering products. It represents research developments in the field together with examples of its application to practical problems, as presented by a group of leading international experts. It aims to provide academics, engineers and consultants with a comprehensive, in-depth survey of the state of the art of Statistical Energy Analysis (SEA). It complements previously published monographs on the subject in bringing the reader up to date with recent developments made since their publication. It also includes a record of the symposium discussion in which many of the currently debated issues relating to SEA were intensively examined.
