There are hundreds of different mouths in the animal kingdom.

Some have beaks, others have trunks; some have countless rows of teeth inside their mouths, while others have just a few huge external ones; some spit deadly poison, while others have pouches where they keep food. In this book we take a tour of twelve different types of mouth. First we get to know one animal very well and then we are given an overview of which animals have the same type of mouth – including pelicans, squirrels, a species of monkey and a tiny tropical fish.

• Bård Torkildsen (born 1990) has created humorous, realistic illustrations. He is an illustrator and designer whose work includes the picture book Oddball Bob.
