This Country Assistance Evaluation (CAE) reviews the development effectiveness of World Bank assistance to India during the 1990s. It builds on evaluations of sector assistance programs, projects, and non-lending services to make these assessments. This report uses the standard evaluation categories of outcome, sustainability, and institutional development.
