In India and Sindh

One of the things I didn''t understand the most about India was body language, specifically head nods. It is universally agreed that shaking your head from top to bottom once or twice means understanding or agreement, while shaking it right and left means rejection, denial, or uncertainty. This is as far as I know. But in India, the situation was confusing and incomprehensible. They shake their heads in a way that is neither vertical nor horizontal, mixing the expression of rejection and agreement at the same time. You don''t understand what the person you are talking to means, whether rejection or agreement.
