The old Hong Kong Island and Kowloon districts developed from 1920 to 1945. In Wanchai, Mong Kok, Sham Shui Po and Kai Tak in Kowloon City, wherever you turn, you see densely situated buildings.Decades have passed, and these characteristic buildings have either disappeared or been renovated. The author Dr. Huang Dicai spent 10 years on consulting a large number of historical documents and data as well as detailed architectural drawings, seeking to recreate these historical buildings that marked a bygone era and commemorate the city's past with these images.
