Human Cytogenetics

This book exposes in a clear, succinct and didactic way the fundamental principles to approach and initiate the study of the understanding of Human Cytogenetics, understanding this as a part of genetics that deals with the study of the number, structure, behavior and function of chromosomes; using conventional strategies and methodologies (classical cytogenetics) or molecular (molecular cytogenetics) applied to the analysis of the DNA that is condensed during the process of cell division. In order to achieve this objective, a generalized perspective of topics that will introduce the reader to a deeper study of the subject is presented.
