How I Met My Best Friend

The concept for this book started when my son told me he was kind to a new kid in class. He explained everything he said and tried to do and requested of the teacher. He wanted to make his new classmate comfortable. As a parent I couldn't be more proud. A few days later, I realized the same thing happened to me in grade school and that is how Jessica, and I became best friends. One small act of kindness developed into a lifelong friendship. I hope this book stimulates a conversation between you and your children about kindness. Children are born with big hearts. Kindness isn't always easy, it can be intimidating. Use this book as a way to spark their imagination so that they may find their own path to initiate new friendships and make others feel welcomed.
