History of the North Carolina Railroad

Whilst the greatest effort has been made to ensure the quality of this text, due to the historical nature of this content, in some rare cases there may be minor issues with legibility. I frankly admit that, apparently, these matters seem quite incongru ous to the subject in hand, and yet I shall show that Judge Douglas and Miss Dix each helped to pave the way for the grant of the Charter for the North Carolina Railroad.
