Whilst the greatest effort has been made to ensure the quality of this text, due to the historical nature of this content, in some rare cases there may be minor issues with legibility. There are, of course, incidents related in these chapters which I would gladly obliterate from the fair pages of our history but a due regard for the completeness of the work demanded that they should receive attention, as well as the many deeds of heroism of which we are justly proud.
