HELP ME UNDERSTAND THE BIBLE

The Bible was not written for the English-speaking reader.It was written in the Middle East in a radically different culturehundreds of years ago. They did not have the logic that we use soeasily - Greek logic. It was written before science began.If we read the Bible trying to force it into our science and logic,we will often be disappointed.Instead, we need to learn to read it devotionally, with our rightbrain. The word pictures are beautiful and effective. The narrativestell of God reaching into our history to touch lives. We need toallow our spirits to be blessed by the Creator who is reaching out tous through his Son, Jesus, and his Holy Spirit.
