Half a man

"I see our story on a high old shelf that is about to fall. I try to reach it, but I am unable to even touch it. I feel the need for a hand to lift me up so I can reinstall the shelf, and remove our story from the heart, in order to reach a story whose end I must write. I tear up papers that did not have them."
