Great-Aunt Jane's Secret

Eleven-year-old Jack Hobbins dreads spending a long snowy Saturday with his crazy old Great-Aunt Jane until sparks begin to fly in the kitchen. With a twirl of the ball on her mysterious gold necklace, Aunt Jane transports Jack to a sunny world of rolling green hills and the most unexpected inhabitants. When the wind suddenly blows cold, Jack's new companions tell him about the poisonous wind which has changed their land and endangered their lives. Jack sets off to discover the source of the wind with the help of a strange girl who has a secret Jack needs to save the world.

Merrilee Hague Miller has an English degree from the University of California at Berkeley, and although she has been a trial attorney for thirty-three years, she has always dreamed of sharing her stories with children. Her writing is greatly influenced by her time spent as a child in rural England where she played with fairies, centaurs, and dragons. Miller lives in Northern California with her husband, son, dogs, a few fairies, and near her three stepchildren and granddaughter.
