Grain Agricultural Insurance

Rural insurance is an instrument of agricultural policy provided for in Article 187 of the Constitution and Article 4 of Law 8171/91 (Agricultural Policy). It operates to reduce the dangers of rural activity and ensure its persistence and excellence. We are going to deal specifically with Agricultural Grain Insurance (soybeans, corn, wheat, among others). This insurance aims to protect and maintain agricultural activity by covering losses caused by meteorological phenomena. These phenomena include fire, lightning, frost, hail, thunderstorms, excessive rainfall, drought and strong winds, from plant emergence to harvest.
