Glimpses of Uttarakhand

Blessed with magnificent glaciers, majestic snow-clad mountains, gigantic and ecstatic peaks, valley of flowers, skiing slopes and dense forests, the state of Uttarakhand encompasses many varieties to the visiting tourists. ';Glimpses of Uttarakhand' is an attempt to bring before the readers a panoramic view of these and many other aspects of the state. Considered as adobe of gods, the state includes many shrines, temples and places of pilgrimage. Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri are the char-dhams, which are most sacred and revered Hindu temples, are situated in the state.
