From Tragedy to Triumph

Beata was only three years old when, near the end of WWII, the bombardment of Dresden, Germany took place. She and her mother and brother miraculously survived the firestorm. This was only the beginning of a life marked by tragedy, abandonment, sexual abuse, and addiction. 

As an actress, model, recording artist, and nightclub singer and married to an abusive, alcoholic husband, her life spiralled out of control. A life-altering experience in Hollywood changed everything! 

Beata Hanssmann-Hartig was born in Dresden, Germany and raised in Amsterdam, Holland. She emigrated to Canada with her mother and brother and first settled in Calgary, Alberta. Her life journey brought her to Vancouver, BC; Spain; Sydney, Australia; Hollywood, California; and finally Toronto, Ontario. She is happily married to her best friend, Edmund. Beata is in demand as a guest speaker and singer in various venues.
