The South African bush is the back drop of an exciting love story between two individuals from different cultures. Eugene and Susan have always considered themselves proper in the eyes of what their respective cultures believe until fate brings them together turning their lives in to turmoil. The great gold rush has brought people from all over the world to the Transvaal, much to the agitation of the Boers, bringing an already strained relationship between the Boer republic and the English empire to breaking point. War is imminent and both sides are blinded by greed and hate. Can two families put aside their personal feelings for love or will hatred prove to be more powerful?
