';Something here is foundational to me.' The first line of the first poem describes the whole arc of this collection. The forty-two poems dance through many seasons, literally and figuratively, grasping after that ';something,' looking for answers asked myriad times before, and finally coming to rest, and feast, on the grace that percolates through the ordinary and extraordinary. Most of the poems follow a fairly strict lyrical form, particularly sonnets, reflecting the grace it is to have a relationship with a God who orders the chaos of life on Earth. All art should point to beauty; this collection seeks it and hopes that all readers find a little bit of beauty and grace in its pages.
