Witchcraft culture and traditions from 6 matrilineal generations of witches. In 1852 two sisters left Scotland for fear of persecution as witches. Only teenagers, they head for Canada. One of the sisters, the author's great, great, great-grandmother, Euphemia Grieve, married and built an octagonal home in Miskoka, Ontario. A powerful, natural magick Circle, was their childhood home. Her witch ancestors practiced theosophy, whose mandate includes the re-awakening of humanity's psychic gifts, to reinvigorate the unexplained laws of Nature.
