Sophomore year is the best time to preliminarily develop design and cultivate design thinking in the undergraduate study of architecture. The author is fortunate to be a member of the teaching team of the sophomore experimental class of the School of Architecture, Tianjin University. In the six years of teaching experience, he has witnessed the process of "e;getting started"e; for new architect, and has also gained something while enjoying the progress of the students. Based on years of teaching experience in the sophomore experimental classes, this book explores the question of "e;How to design architecture"e; through several links such as behavioral research and concept generation, space prototype, zoning and streamline planning, space, structure, node and skin starting with the three relationships of "e;people and architecture"e;, "e;architecture and city"e; and "e;architecture and nature"e;. It is expected to inspire architectural education peers and architectural design beginners.
