Epidemiology, Control and Prevention of Dengue Fever

Dengue fever is an acute viral infection that causes high mortality and morbidity in humans worldwide, particularly in tropical and subtropical regions, and the dynamics of Dengue virus transmission are determined by the interaction between the environment, the agent, the host population and the vector that exists in a specific habitat. The magnitude and intensity of this interaction will define the transmission of Dengue in a community, region or country.
