Enabler's Journey Recovery Plan

This is book one of a recovery workbook series. It guides individuals and clients to understand enabling behaviors and evaluate their current participation in perpetuating the dysfunctional patterns of their loved one with Substance Use Disorder. The enabler will learn to recognize the cycle of enabling, entanglement, excuses and beliefs that handicap an enabler from recovery. It also coaches in the courage needed for detaching from people with destructive behaviors and circumstances we cannot control. The book includes an enabler's recovery plan, accountability questionnaire, self-care program and a plan for identifying unhealthy and healthy coping strategies. It will also guide the recovering enabler to determine a level of safe involvement with an addict and how to identify true and false repentance, rebuild trust, and avoid the snare of another enabling relationship.
