Emancipation

It's thrilling to exercise your rights for the first time as a teenager. It's the choices we get to make all on our own, and hopefully they're well within the legal limits of what is allowed. This collection of essays examines and debates a teenager's perceived and real rights of emancipation. Issues such as medical care decisions, drinking and smoking, the age of sexual consent and marriage are explored, as well as the reasons why a teenager would want to declare emancipation from their guardians.
