Drop Ball Test on Aluminium Metal Sheet

In this comprehensive study, we explore the dynamic interaction between steel balls and aluminum 8011, focusing on the impact-induced strain deformation and strain energy. Through a combination of experimental testing and finite element analysis using Ansys Workbench. The experimental setup involves controlled impacts of steel balls on aluminum specimens, capturing real-world dynamics. Our Ansys Workbench simulation, calibrated meticulously against experimental data, provides a reliable model for understanding the impact dynamics. Material properties, including density, Young's Modulus, and Poisson's Ratio, play a crucial role in shaping the response. Results not only showcase the accuracy of the simulation but also contribute valuable insights into the interplay of materials under impact, with potential applications in diverse industries.
