So, when Pico (a former child soldier with a penchant for seeing military conspiracies in school handouts) reveals that her high school's formal summer dance is "e;mandatory"e;, Nefarioun is too fatigued to handle the logistics herself.In a moment of questionable judgment fueled by sleep deprivation, Nefarioun delegates the task of chaperone and shopping assistant to her overly eager genie, Disco. The goal is simple... get Pico a dress and ensure she attends the dance like a normal teenager.However, "e;normal"e; isn't in Disco's vocabulary, especially when she enlists the help of the demonic knight Stallion Bloodwrath. What follows is a shopping trip bringing forth an obsidian war carriage drawn by shadow horses, a "e;mellowing"e; spell cast on Pico's high-strung friend Felicity, and a series of "e;preparations"e; that involve interdimensional portals, lizard-men mining crews, and experimental surgery.
